Barcelona International Welcome

    The Barcelona City Council, through its Barcelona International Welcome initiative, offers support to international individuals who are moving to or already living in the city. It not only helps newcomers settle in, but also engages with the international community to foster connections and a sense of belonging.

    Through its website, the initiative provides practical information, personalized support, and guidance on key topics such as administrative procedures, housing, education, healthcare, and legal matters.

    At the Welcome Desk, available both online and in person, newcomers can receive tailored expert advice to help them navigate life in Barcelona and complete certain municipal procedures.

    Throughout the year, Barcelona International Welcome organizes a vibrant calendar of seminars, networking events, and cultural and professional activities, including its flagship annual event: Barcelona International Community Day.

    This initiative is part of the city’s broader strategy to attract and retain global talent, making Barcelona a welcoming and inclusive destination for expatriates, entrepreneurs, students, and professionals.

International Talents Emilia-Romagna

    it-ER International Talents Emilia-Romagna is the Emilia-Romagna Region’s program that supports and guides international talents interested in investing in their education and career in Emilia-Romagna, providing a clear guide to discovering the services and opportunities available in the region that can facilitate socio-cultural integration and entry into the labor market.The it-ER service is aimed at university students, PhD candidates, researchers, high skilled workers, along with any partners and family members, who wish to move to or return to Emilia-Romagna. To offer them information and support, it-ER gathers and develops services and initiatives, at a local or regional level, to attract, retain, and enhance the value of international talents in Emilia-Romagna.

    The program operates in close collaboration with local stakeholders – universities, research and training institutions, public bodies, and businesses – and in synergy with the objectives of Regional Law 2/2023 on the Attraction, Retention, and Valorisation of Talents in Emilia-Romagna to increase the region’s attractiveness, innovation, and sustainability.

    The it-ER staff also coordinates and collaborates with the local network of talent houses located in the 10 main municipalities of the region.

Brno Expat Centre

    Brno Expat Centre – a free public service supported by the City of Brno, dedicated to helping foreign professionals. Our mission: we work to help foreigners find and make a new home in Brno and to create an open environment, enabling them to take part in the life of the city.

    We provide a number of services, including:

    individual consultation and advice to expats on a variety of daily living issues
    interpreting and assistance during meetings with authorities and service providers;
    networking events, including seminars and leisure activities;
    help in developing private business and connecting to the local business infrastructure and community
    entertaining English language writing and a monthly newsletter;
    social network channels for sharing knowledge and networking.

Bizkaia Talent

    Bizkaia Talent is the leading expat centre in Bilbao (Bizkaia – Basque Country), committed to facilitating the relocation and integration of international professionals and their families. We provide tailored relocation services, cultural and social activities, company sessions, and a dedicated Spouses Programme. Beyond this, Bizkaia Talent collaborates with local and international university students to support their career development and strengthen their connections with Basque companies, while also helping organisations enhance their positioning and embrace people-centred management practices. Through the Basque Talent Network, we connect talent with opportunities worldwide, fostering community, advancing employability, and driving the region’s innovation and competitiveness.

Milano & Partners

  • More information

    Milano&Partners is the o/icial promotion agency of the city of Milano and includes the Talents team, which—through the YesMilano brand—supports international and out-of-town students and young professionals as they settle in the city, helping them navigate daily life, study, work, and integrate into Milano’s community.

    Its International Welcome Desk provides guidance via email, appointments, webinars, and welcome events, while practical how-to guides o/er step-by-step support for essential bureaucratic procedures and other key aspects of living in Milano.

    In addition, YesMilano fosters community-building and professional networking by promoting events, workshops, and initiatives aimed at social and professional integration.

    Overall, YesMilano makes the city more accessible and welcoming by simplifying bureaucracy, supporting study and work opportunities, and helping newcomers fully experience life in Milano

Haugaland Vekst Welcome Hub

    Welcome Hub Haugalandet makes it easier to move to, settle in and build a good life in the Haugalandet region on the west coast of Norway. We support international professionals, newcomers from across Norway, and the employers who rely on their competence.

    As part of Haugaland Vekst, we bring together businesses, academia and the public sector to strengthen the region’s ability to attract, include and retain talent. Together with local partners, we work to create a community where newcomers can thrive both professionally and socially.

    Our services include support for relocated employees and accompanying partners, job search guidance and career resources, regional events and meeting places, and assistance to employers with onboarding, retention and employer attractiveness.

International House West Flanders

    International House West Flanders was founded in 2024, under the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of West Flanders. We aim to build up an international community and support both expats and local companies in the region of West Flanders. Through our regular social events and creative activities in Kortrijk, Roeselare, and Bruges, we create a strong network with people from different backgrounds.

Holland Expat Center South

    Holland Expat Center South is a non-profit governmental agency dedicated to helping international knowledge workers and their families settle quickly and easily into life in Noord-Brabant. We want internationals to feel welcome and at home here, to integrate into society, and to enjoy all that the region has to offer.

    HECS is a joint initiative of the participating municipalities, the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND), Brainport Eindhoven, and the province of Noord-Brabant. We are one of 12 Expat Centers located throughout the Netherlands. Each Expat Center works closely with the Invest in Holland network to support international employees coming to work in the Netherlands.

    We help international knowledge workers and their accompanying family members to feel at home by supporting them prior to arrival, on arrival, and after arrival through a wide range of services, which are available free of charge to the international. We also support employers of internationals by providing advice and information, by supporting their international employees, and through research and lobbying.
